The Women’s Law Project is a legal advocacy organization committed to fighting discrimination and injustice against women and to advancing their legal, economic, and health status.  It has offices in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. 

The Program Assistant position will be in the Pittsburgh Office and will entail administrative and program responsibilities.  Responsibilities will include a range of activities from answering the phone to organizing programs.  We are looking for a bright, self-starting, optimistic person to manage the office of our small, busy, high-energy non-profit.  We promise a steep learning curve and great on-the-ground experience with women’s rights advocacy and project development. It’s an excellent opportunity to make a difference in the lives of women and girls. The Program Assistant will work closely with the two staff attorneys in Pittsburgh and with the staff of our Philadelphia office.  

The ideal candidate will possess the following education, skills, and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of and experience using Microsoft Office software, Excel and Access.
  • Excellent organizational skills, flexibility and attention to detail, ability to prioritize assignments and work on both team and individual projects.
  • Strong verbal, research and writing skills.
  • Commitment to social justice and equality for women.
