Summary

Washington & Jefferson College is accepting applications for an Annual and Reunion Giving Coordinator. This is a full-time, administrative position in the Office of Development which is an integral part of a goal-oriented, detail-focused, and collaborative college environment dedicated to its alumni and students.  The successful candidate will assist in planning and directing the annual giving program of soliciting gifts from alumni, parents, friends, faculty and staff, and other constituents to increase participation and support.  Duties include oversight of W&J reunion giving program.  This position will require close work with all members of the Development, Alumni Relations, and Communications Staff and will report directly to the Annual Fund Officer.

As Annual and Reunion Giving Coordinator, the responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Facilitate the production of all annual fund materials to solicit contributions from alumni, parents, faculty and staff, and friends of the College to maximize giving and increase giving participation rates
  • Manage all aspects of reunion giving program; work with Annual Fund Officer to include reunion components within larger Annual Fund process
  • Work with alumni relations and development staff to insure coordination and facilitation of all reunion activities, mailings and other planning details as needed
  • Work with the Annual Fund Officer for the design/message and creation of all annual giving materials and phonathon scripts
  • Act as liaison between vendors and annual fund, coordinate projects from start to finish
  • Maintain results and data for analysis, compile results and create reports as needed
  • Coordinate online and web-based fundraising activities, work with Web Master and Annual Fund Officer to implement comprehensive internet-based fundraising program
  • Attend conferences and professional development workshops as appropriate
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum of two years’ successful fund-raising experience
  • Ability to be efficient and work independently while also being able to collaborate effectively in a group setting.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing; editing skills desirable.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
  • Experience working with volunteer staff and student employees desirable.

Additional Requirements

  • Available for work on occasional weekends and evenings.
