UCP of Pittsburgh / Community Living and Support Services is looking for an experienced Controller for our Attendant Care Programs

TITLE:                                   Controller – Waiver Programs
BASIC FUNCTION:            Accounting for Attendant Care Programs
SCOPE:                                Reports to the Chief Financial Officer
QUALIFICATIONS:             CPA or CPA candidate with Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.  Minimum three years experience in a related not-for-profit setting, and prior public accounting experience a plus

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Account for all waiver billings, including recognition of revenue and write-off of denied claims.
  • Account for all restricted and temporarily restricted grants on a budget vs. actual and GAAP basis.
  • Responsible for coordinating the reconciliation of all general ledger accounts: including asset, liability, income and expense.
  • Assist the Chief Financial Officer in coordinating the annual agency audits for the three corporations, as well as all funding source fiscal audits. 
  • Coordinate the preparation of all year-end reporting to government funders.
  • Prepare financial statements and other reports required by management, funders and/or regulators.
