Marketing & Development Coordinator, Tickets for Kids Charities - Aspinwall, PA

Tickets for Kids Charities located in Aspinwall is seeking a full-time Marketing & Development Coordinator.  Tasks include website management, creation of marketing materials, donor activities, including after hours events and daily administrative duties.  Must be creative, detail-oriented and an effective multi-tasker.  Strong written and oral communication skills essential.

REPORTS TO:  Program Director/Development Director

STATUS:  Exempt

General Summary:
The Marketing & Development Coordinator is responsible for marketing and development as well as general administrative duties.

Essential Functions:
Marketing:

  1. Update and maintain the Tickets for Kids Charities website including news/happenings, upcoming events, posting donors, donor logos and photos.
  2. Create and distribute the weekly Upcoming Events email blast.
  3. Provide TFKC logo to press and other organizations, when necessary.
  4. Author articles and collaborate on creation of Just the Ticket, the Tickets for Kids Charities newsletter.
  5. Prepare end of year reports and scrapbooks.
  6. Design various marketing items.
  7. Upload, organize, print and manage photos, securing agency releases, when necessary.
  8. Prepare and develop “materials needed” lists for outside events/activities (booth/tables, special events, displays and windows).
  9. Update and maintain Tickets for Kids Charities presence on Facebook and My Space.

Development:

  1. Facilitate all America’s Charities activities.
  2. Prepare and send out tax/thank you letters for all donations.

Program:

  1. Develop, implement, coordinate and support programs including, but not limited to:  Pittsburgh Pirates Exchange Program, University of Pittsburgh Football Exchange Program, Shopping Events (Macy’s), Celebration of Reading, coat event.
    • Screen requests.
    • Record packages.
    • Enter denials.
    • Complete all arrangements between venue and agency.
    • Monitor acknowledgments.
    • Enter donor exchange tickets in the database.
  2. Prepare weekly acknowledgment report for the screening committee.

General Administrative:

  1. Demonstrate on a consistent basis the desire to meet goals and take an active team approach to resolve issues.
  2. Participate in weekly staff meeting, preparing marketing report and web report.
  3. Receive, review, respond and forward email from info@ticketsforkids.org to appropriate staff.
  4. Attend and/or monitor evening and/or weekend special events, as needed.
  5. Order office supplies as needed and maintain office supply inventory list.
  6. Answer main phone on a rotating basis.
  7. Provide help to other team members, when needed.
  8. Post information for intern searches.
  9. Provide help and support for Advisory Board meetings.
  10. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree preferred and 2+ years of experience working in a busy office.  2+ years experience in marketing preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and graphic design software such as In Design, Photoshop and Publisher.  Strong organization skills with attention to detail and high degree of accuracy.  Written and oral communication skills and time management skills.  Comfortable speaking to a group.  Must be honest, reliable, discreet and maintain confidentiality.  Must be a team player.  Must be able to prioritize daily tasks with a willingness to meet daily deadlines, work independently and be flexible. Salary in mid 20’s.
