Development Officer, Rodef Shalom Congregation - Pittsburgh, PA

Rodef Shalom Congregation is the oldest and largest Reform Jewish Congregation in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It was chartered in 1857 and presently has over 1200 families. Reporting to the Executive Director, this is a newly created staff position. Responsibilities include identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding major gift and planned giving prospects and donors. The successful candidate will be a mature, experienced, self-motivated individual with demonstrated professional and interpersonal skills who can effectively communicate, and motivate prospects, donors and volunteers and have strong organizational skills. He/she will work with a supportive board who will introduce him/her to influencers within our community and potential prospects. Key qualifications include three or more years of professional experience in major/planned giving. Preference will be given to individual with legal estate background and/or institutional advancement officer with a multi-year track record of success soliciting major and planned gifts. The full-time salary range for this position is commensurable with experience in addition to a generous benefit package.
