Family Development Specialist, Providence Family Support Center - Pittsburgh, PA

Full Time Position with Benefits

General Summary:
Northside Family Support Center has an opening for a Family Development Specialist. This individual will be working intensively with families with children 0-5yrs. Responsibilities include home visiting, goal planning, child development assessments and implementing a Parent as Teachers Curriculum. Our FDS also is an advocate for families and assists them in getting needed services or resources.
Candidate must possess strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, ability to relate effectively to young children and willingness to work some non-traditional hours. Caseload of 12- 15 families.

Requirements:
Degree in social work, child development or related field preferred and at least 2 years of experience in human services with some case management experience. Act 33 &34 clearances. Must have a car for visits to families.
