No Supervisory Responsibilities

Licensure/Certification Required:  None

Education/Experience Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field + six years related experience. A Master’s Degree in Computer Science or directly related area may be substituted for three (3) years work experience, or any equivalent combination of experience and training as approved by the County OBH/OMR/DD Program Director.

Job Duties Summary: Provide support to staff on all company supported applications. Troubleshoot computer problems and determine source, and advise on appropriate action. Complete application project-based work.

Work Schedule: Part time as determined by supervisor.

Management/Leadership:

  • Answer staff questions in person or via phone on all company supported computer applications;
  • Troubleshoot computer problems;
  • Determine source of computer problems, e.g., hardware, software, user access, etc.
  • Advise staff on appropriate action
  • Work one-on-one with staff on application projects;
  • Provide recommendations on company application purchases and updates;
  • Document resolutions for future reference;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Service to Consumer/Customer:

  • Visits program sites regularly to listen and respond to staff feedback about technology issues;
  • Provides instruction to consumers in order to assist them with technology issues.

Collaboration with others:

  • Attends and participates in internal and external committees, meetings, task forces, planning and work groups as required and requested
  • Coordinates and facilitates formal and informal staff meetings where technological problems are addressed and opportunities for improving program functioning are explored
  • Maintains a positive professional reputation in the community and is a good ambassador for the agency
  • Cultivates effective relationships with: community and business leaders, constituents, public officials, relevant professional organizations, and potential funders

Recordkeeping/Documentation:

  • Completes, reviews, corrects, signs and processes informal and formal documents as appropriate
  • Maintains records of relevant departmental and organizational information

Communication:

  • Responds to internal and external customers via telephone and written communication
  • Informs internal and external partners about new program developments and ways to access services
  • Assists in updating program specific policies and procedures

Stewardship:

  • Cultivates and fosters an environment that responds to change as necessary
  • Sets and monitors productivity standards and promotes professional development
  • Addresses risk-management issues in department
  • Works stridently to create a socially just and stigma free society.
