In your position as Temporary Community Outreach/Administrative Assistant you will be working directly with the Executive Director on a number of ‘Community Outreach’ initiatives as well as managing the OTMA office and providing administrative support.

Your primary job duties will entail assisting in planning and development as well as conducting research and administrative work.

In this position, you will be asked to work between twenty to twenty five hours per week.  Some weeks may require more hours due to OTMA events or projects.

This position is paid hourly, between $13-15.  There are NO BENEFITS offered.  The duration of this position will begin immediately through October 31, 2008.

 

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Administrative:  Management of the OTMA office:  answering phones, management of emails, coordinate meeting schedules and any other administrative duties as required.
  • Community Outreach:  Attend arrival survival fairs at all Oakland colleges and universities, employee benefit fairs; assist in the planning and execution of the OTMA annual meeting; assist in the planning and execution of the Ready, Set, Walk! Challenge Wrap Up event as well as to provide support for any other projects that are ongoing OTMA initiatives as required.
  • Program Management:  Assist the program administrator with Annual Meeting planning, arrival survival planning and Ready, Set, Walk! Challenge Wrap Up event planning as well as any other OTMA programs that need assistance.
