Operations Specialist, North Hills Community Outreach - Allison Park, PA

Position: Operations Specialist (37.5-40 hrs/wk)
Reports to: Director of Operations
Responsible for:
- Financial bookkeeping on a timely basis
- Support of NHCO’s information technology
- Support of NHCO’s facilities, grounds and transportation
Duties include:
- Coding and processing all payment requests and preparing checks for the Director of Operations’ signature
- Preparing journal entries and reconciling ledger accounts
- Backing up coding and processing all monetary and in-kind donations, preparing bank deposits and tracking special funds
- Providing information technology support, including network administration, email and telephone administration, hardware setup, software installation and working with IT support, phone and internet providers
- Developing and maintaining equipment and software inventory system, including tracking of Tech Soup purchases
- Providing facilities, grounds and transportation support, including coordination of construction/remodeling projects, maintenance and repairs, and procurement of furnishings
- Supervising and utilizing operations team volunteers
- Acting as a member of the operations team
- Other duties as assigned
Hours:
Full-time, 37.5 – 40 hours per week
8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday (negotiable)
Evenings and weekends as needed to fulfill assigned duties
Education:
Associate degree preferred; will accept four years of directly related experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access) and Peachtree required along with excellent speed and accuracy with data entry. Experience with DonorPerfect a plus.
Requires:
- English speaking with ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing
- Capable of managing multiple tasks with strict deadlines with ease and professionalism
- Normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate reports
- Eye-hand coordination and ability to operate calculator, computer keyboard, printer, copier and other office equipment
- Prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping, reaching and lifting up to 50 pounds
- Automobile for local travel between NHCO offices
