ARE YOU a LPN OR RN and are ….. Tired of working nights, weekends and holidays??? Tired of shift work??? Light of Life Rescue Mission has a full-time Health Education Coordinator (LPN/RN) in the Education and Employment Program to provide nursing care and health education to our clients. Light of Life is looking for a mature Christian, able to exhibit good judgment in alignment with Light of Life’s values, purpose, and policies. The Nurse / Health Education Coordinator will provide basic nursing assessments, care plans, and coordinate health education programs designed to prevent disease, promote health, and prolong life. This individual will participate in the development of health education to partnership with members of community organizations and healthcare professionals in developing effective health education programs for residents. She/he will provide in-service training on public health issues, technical expertise on health issues, and conduct healthcare education presentations to the residents in Light of Life’s Men and Women’s Programs. She/he will support efforts relative to improving a client’s development towards a healthy an addiction-free life. Must have a passion for the Ministry, be able to work with diverse groups of people, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and be computer literate. A history of setting and reaching goals, being a self-starter who is able to follow through and work in a flexible environment, is highly recommended. Education: LPN minimum or RN/BSN. One - three years prior nursing experience, OR any equivalent combination of education and experience Salary: based on education and experience, hours M-F – no holidays, excellent benefit package
