Work Direction of Campaign Coordinator:  Works under the supervision, direction and training of the Chapter Executive Director or assigned staff to accomplish assigned duties and responsibilities.

Job Summary of Campaign Coordinator:  The ideal candidate will work closely with the Deputy Executive Director and Director of Donor Development on two existing special events: the Polo for the Cure match and the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute Golf Outing. A minimum of two years fundraising or special event experience and a Bachelors degree are required. This candidate should possess excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills as well as strong written, verbal and presentation skills. Travel and work on some nights and weekends will be required.

Duties and Responsibilities of Campaign Coordinator:

  • Prepares assigned elements of campaign materials required for the successful implementation of assigned special events.
  • Provides staff support for volunteers required for implementation of assigned special events.
  • Coordinates elements of promotional activities to ensure the success of events and to enhance public awareness of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and its mission.
  • Prepares and/or coordinates and maintains assigned campaign correspondence, financial records and statistical reports as needed.
  • Assists, as assigned, in the development and implementation of other chapter activities.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society mission and its programs to address them.
  • Implements future plans for assigned special events.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Minimum preferred education - Bachelor's Degree.
  • A minimum of two years fundraising or special event experience.
  • Excellent word processing and database management skills.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and professional demeanor.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and judgment.
