Manager of Special Events and Annual Giving, Forbes Health Foundation - Monroeville, PA

JOB SUMMARY: Develop and execute a Special Events Plan for the Harmony Ball, Golf Classic and any other event planned by Forbes Health Foundation which supports The Western Pennsylvania Hospital – Forbes Regional Campus in Monroeville. Other special events involve annual fund awareness events, physicians’ wives coffees, committee meetings, a possible corporate monopoly etc. Develop and execute an Individual Giving Development Plan for annual patient/donor appeal mailings to special audiences for both the Hospital and Hospice (patients of oncologists, cardiologists, annual appeal, Mother’s Day/Father’s Day Tribute Tree, Employee Campaign, Poinsettia for Patients, LYBUNTS and SYBUNTS, Phonathon, etc.)

REQUIREMENTS: This person will be a self starter and own the events and appeal mailings both internally and externally from start to finish working with goals set cooperatively with the President. Must be organized and have an understanding of donor constituents, appeals, letter merges, and special events. Must take initiative and have a proactive orientation toward developing and maintaining relationships and set a standard by which volunteers can be engaged. Must have a commitment to the success of the Foundation goals and mission and demonstrate ownership of high quality outcomes, meticulous attention to detail, comprehensive record-keeping, and careful commitment to embrace challenges and problems, and eagerness and willingness to find and propose solutions. This Foundation has achieved outstanding results in concluding a $10+ million capital campaign and is continuing to build its donor base and programs. This new position is an opportunity for a self starter to grow professionally and be a key part of a multi-faceted development program. Must possess two years of related experience.
