Director of Human Resources, Focus On Renewal – McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania

The goal of the Human Resource position at Focus On Renewal is to establish and operate an office of Human Resources that will develop and maintain all employee records in compliance with all State, Federal and local laws and will act as a conduit for all employees regarding current benefit information, employment issues and organizational policies.  The Human Resource office will be accountable for overseeing compliance of all laws related to employment and will also be responsible for screening candidates, mediating any disputes, providing support and assistance to supervisory staff in attracting candidates and interacting with employees.  The human resource director will be expected to act always in the best interest of the agency. 

Human Resources staff is responsible for the following duties:

  • Marketing new job openings and screening candidates.
  • Refining/Designing job descriptions so that they are in compliance with all Federal, State and Local requirements and well as specific job qualifications.
  • Providing training to supervisory staff.
  • Being available to employees and supervisory staff to answer questions, discuss issues.
  • Maintaining employment records.
  • Create and maintain performance reviews and standards.
  • Review and approve all personnel reviews.
  • Handbook interpretation and revision.
  • Benefits administration.
  • Overseeing compliance with all Federal, State and Local laws and regulations, which include but not limited to OSHA, EEO, ERISA, Wage and Hour, DOT, Act 33 &34.
  • Overseeing and maintaining as current all Federal and State clearances.
  • Meditate all disputes between Directors and employees.
  • Assisting FOR Senior Management as appropriate.
  • Work with the Finance Office as related to employment/benefits issues.
  • Overseeing employment separation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

The selected candidate will report to the Associate Director.
This is a full-time position.

Requirements: Degree in Human Resources or related field or experience equivalent.
