VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR – Full time with benefits

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Ongoing recruitment and targeted recruitment of volunteers.
  • Deliver volunteer orientation as designed by training plan.
  • Develop and implement volunteer training program.
  • Plan, schedule and participate in volunteer meetings.
  • Maintain full complement of volunteers in each program.
  • Work with program staff to expand volunteer opportunities.
  • Prepare daily volunteer schedules for various programs.
  • Handle call-off communications from scheduled volunteers.
  • Coordinate volunteer group activities
  • Develop volunteer progression documentation and tracking system.
  • Design/update forms to complement Raisers Edge data base software.
  • Develop appropriate tracks for volunteer service vis a vis community service volunteers, etc.
  • Plan and execute volunteer functions.
  • Create publications that support volunteer recruitment.
  • Attend fairs, staff tables and speak to groups and congregations about EECM and volunteer opportunities.

Requirements include, but are not limited to:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of experience or any combination of training and experience, as approved.
  • Experience training groups and individuals.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent writing, speaking and computer skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage people.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Schedule flexibility to work evening and weekends.
