Director of Marketing, City Theatre – Pittsburgh, PA

City Theatre, Pittsburgh’s home for the development and production of new plays, is searching for a Marketing Director to supervise all marketing functions including advertising, publicity, telesales, group sales, box office and front of house.

City Theatre, a LORT D theatre, has an annual budget of over $3 million and a total audience of over 45,000. City Theatre produces a subscription series of 6 plays, 2 to 3 special attractions and other programming in two venues, the 254 seat mainstage and the 111 seat Lester Hamburg Studio.

Responsibilities:
This position’s primary responsibilities are to provide the vision for the department, and oversee all marketing functions. Responsibilities include maintaining existing audiences and developing new markets, generating and implementing promotional campaigns, and managing the marketing budget and earned income projections. The Marketing Director supervises five full-time staff and works closely with outside vendors that include a direct mail consultant and graphic design firm.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, strategic and creative individual with excellent organizational, computer, verbal and written communication skills. City Theatre seeks candidates with a proven track record of innovation and creative use of technology. Position requires relevant degree and/or equivalent and 2+ years of theater or arts marketing experience.
