Asbury Heights, a continuing care retirement community celebrating 100 years of serving older adults located in Mount Lebanon, is actively seeking a Vice President for Development and Planned Giving to join its senior management team and provide leadership in raising philanthropic funds. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of proven experience with a strong work ethic and knowledge of all aspects of fundraising through annual support, corporate and foundation grantmaking, and major and planned giving.

The Vice President will manage one professional staff member and provide overall program direction, strategy, and management to the fund development efforts of Asbury Heights. He or she will also work closely with the President and board leadership to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors and potential donors.

The successful candidate shall have a minimum of 5 years fundraising experience with a proven record of success. A Bachelor’s degree is required and an advanced degree is preferred. Strong oral and written communication skills are a must, as are solid organizational capabilities. Candidates must have face-to-face major gift experience and an understanding of planned gift techniques.
