ACLD, Inc., a non-profit organization founded in 1966 with the mission is to open the door to success for children and adults with Specific Learning Disabilities through highly specialized education programs and services, is seeking a Director of Institutional Advancement (development and marketing).

The Director is responsible for creating, implementing, and overseeing a comprehensive fund development plan that focuses in the areas of annual giving, events, grant gaining, planned giving, and an endowment campaign. The Director is also responsible for direct cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of individual, corporate, and foundation support.  In addition, the Director is responsible for designing and coordinating internal and external marketing program in keeping with the organization’s mission, policies and value system.

The Director of Institution Advancement promotes a professional and positive image for ACLD through his/her knowledge of the organization’s activities, and ability to communicate its mission and guiding principles to all constituency groups.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; a Master’s Degree and certification as a CFRE is preferred.
  • At least four to five years of practical fundraising experience including a documented record of that experience and demonstrated history of success.
  • Possess excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, computer literacy, organizational ability, and time management skills.
  • Working knowledge of data base management. 
  • Access to dependable transportation, and openness to local travel. Valid drivers’ license.
  • Able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays when necessary.

Salary:   Commensurate with experience. This is a full time position
