Winchester Thurston School, an independent PK-Grade 12 school with campuses in Shadyside and Allison Park, announces an immediate opening in the Business Office. The Business Office Operations Coordinator is a 12-month exempt position reporting to the Director of Finance and Operations. The Coordinator has the primary responsibilities for managing payroll functions, employee benefits, transportation, purchasing, and accounts payable.
Key Responsibilities Payroll and Benefits: Maintaining current files for employment agreements and employee benefit options including beneficiary and special election forms for payroll, tax withholding, retirement plan participation unemployment claims, COBRA, Flexible Savings. Keeping the register of employee legally required state and federal clearance forms and verify school compliance. Accounts Payable: Using Blackbaud Financial Edge Software process accounts payable including the issuance of checks, the distribution of proper account posting, issuing IRS 1099s, and controlling purchase orders. Student Transportation: Managing the School transportation program: Arrange transportation for WT students with City and suburban school districts; oversee WT vans including the driver program and the coordination of routes including interaction with parents; arrange bus/van transportation for school field trips and other transportation needs.
