Development Assistant, Western Pennsylvania Conservancy - Pittsburgh, PA

Western Pennsylvania Conservancy, a non-profit conservation organization at 800 Waterfront Drive in Pittsburgh, PA, has an opening for a Development Assistant. Responsibilities include processing and acknowledging all contributions, data entry and maintenance of Raiser’s Edge database; preparing reports; performing data file extractions; mailings; donor service phone calls, correspondence; general office/clerical duties including filing, copying, reception desk backup. Two years of data entry experience required. Experience using Raiser’s Edge (first preference) or other similar database experience strongly preferred. Strong commitment to donor service and thorough understanding of data operations’ role in donor relations. Minimum of one year previous experience in a development, membership, or other transaction-processing environment required. Minimum 2 years’ experience with Microsoft Word, especially mail merge documents. Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, especially with data functions including lists, filters, reports. Must be well organized and accurate, able to work well in a fast-paced environment, able to manage multiple projects successfully, and work well independently and within a team.
