Development Assistant, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Pittsburgh - Pittsburgh, PA

Reports To: Director of Development

Summary:
This position is responsible for assisting the Director of Development & Community Relations Specialist with all the fundraising and public relations events of the Ronald McDonald House.

Position Qualifications:

A minimum of two years of proven development experience
Must have excellent verbal and written skills
Superior organizational skills
Proficient computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office 2007
Ability to work well with volunteers, board of directors, and donors
Available to work nights and weekends as needed

Position Duties:

Assist with the organization, planning, and implementation of special events.
Manage correspondence related to the development department such as: acknowledgement letters, sponsorship packages and general correspondence
Responsible for supervising and recruiting of volunteers for special events
Attend all RMHC events
Coordinate and Plan fundraising meetings
Assists in developing written materials for other fundraising activities
Responsible for the coordination of 3rd Party fundraisers
All other duties as assigned by the Director of Development
