Program Overview
The Fellowship program runs from August 2, 2010 to July 29, 2011. Fellows are hired by nonprofit organizations that are using innovative approaches to address social problems. Hiring partners include organizations focused on education, international development, social investing, and youth development. Roles for 2010 Inspire Fellows include:
- Evaluating investment opportunities for a microfinance fund
- Developing the marketing strategy for an education organization
- Supporting the President of an international organization with strategic initiatives
- Launching a community development fund
- Developing and executing strategy to launch a new program for a youth organization

Fellows participate in a 2-day foundational training, monthly workshops, coaching, and networking events to support their transition and leadership development. In addition, each Fellow receives mentorship and support to help them decide future career plans. After the program ends, Fellows typically stay at the hiring organization if a permanent position is offered, find other job opportunities, or attend graduate school. Annual compensation of $40,000 and health benefits are provided by the hiring organization.
