Development Associate, Greater Pittsburgh Literacy Council – Pittsburgh, PA

Greater Pittsburgh Literacy Council (GPLC), a national leader in adult education and family literacy, seeks a full-time Development Associate. This individual will assist the Director of Development with the implementation of a comprehensive development plan to include foundation, corporate and individual giving. Primary responsibilities include grant writing, database maintenance, acknowledgements, and prospect research. This individual will also assist with special events and donor cultivation/stewardship activities.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree and one to two years fundraising experience, including grant writing. Necessary skills include superior written and verbal communication ability; excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; strong computer skills; creativity and initiative; flexibility to handle multiple tasks and priorities; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
