Gateway Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Director of Clinical Training Development for the new Gateway Addiction Training & Research Institute based out of our corporate offices in Moon Township, PA.

Gateway Rehabilitation Center is a nationally recognized, private, not-for profit organization that provides treatment for men, women, young adults and youth with alcohol and other drug dependencies in locations throughout western Pennsylvania and Ohio. Gateway was founded in 1972 by Dr. Abraham J. Twerski, an internationally recognized authority on addiction. Since 1972, more than 100,000 individuals found the help they needed to begin recovery from chemical dependencies and have hope for a second chance at life. Gateway’s mission is to help all affected by addictive diseases to be healthy in body, mind and spirit.

Full-Time

Position Title:  Director of Clinical Training Development

Essential Functions:

  • Investigates, develops, and implements the Gateway models of patient treatment, a clinical mentoring program, and clinical supervision.
  • Supports Gateway models of above through training and monitoring.
  • Ensures uniform adherence to above models.
  • Develops curriculum and creates training manuals, workbooks and materials.
  • Coordinates trainings for clinical staff. 
  • Markets Gateway training curriculum and materials to other treatment providers, including assistance with preparation of brochures and other media.
  • Trains staff on and monitors adherence to evidence based clinical practices.
  • Collaborates with research staff on data collection efforts that determine training effectiveness.
  • Contributes to grant writing efforts within the Institute.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree
  • 5 years direct patient care clinical experience in a behavioral health setting.
  • Management/supervisory experience
  • Computer literate, including working knowledge of Microsoft software packages, Windows environment, and Internet
  • Excellent public speaking and presentation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent  interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Understanding of basic research principles and the application of measurement to training
