Greater Pittsburgh Literacy Council, a national leader in adult education and family literacy, seeks a full-time Director of Finance. The Director will manage all financial and business operations of this $4 million nonprofit agency, including budgets, internal financial reporting, and reporting to funding sources. Responsibilities include overseeing accounting systems and employee benefits, including payroll, A/P, A/R, 401(k) retirement plan, health insurance, and investments. The Director of Finance reports to the Executive Director and supervises one full-time accountant. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, CPA certification, and four (4) years of accounting experience. Non-Profit accounting and/or auditing experience preferred. This position requires some out-of-state travel. Important skills include strong verbal and written communication; ability to handle multiple projects with varying deadlines; attention to detail; and the ability to analyze the financial risks and opportunities of new program initiatives.
