Program Officer The FISA Foundation is a highly focused grantmaking foundation that seeks to improve the lives of women, girls, and people with disabilities in the ten county area of southwestern Pennsylvania. In addition to grantmaking, the Foundation furthers its mission through active engagement in the community – including serving as a collaborator on numerous projects and committees, convening community leaders to raise awareness of issues facing our populations with the goal of addressing unmet needs, and commissioning research or reports. FISA is committed to its 100-year tradition of listening and responding to the needs of women, girls and people with disabilities, focusing on positive systemic change, and holding to the highest standards of ethics and accountability. More information about the Foundation’s history and priorities is available at www.fisafoundation.org. FISA Foundation currently has an opening for a full-time Program Officer. Working with the Executive Director and the Board of Directors, the Program Officer will play a critical role in advancing the Foundation’s mission. Responsibilities include reviewing, evaluating, summarizing and monitoring grant proposals; conducting background research; providing technical assistance to grantees; convening community discussions to address key issues; coordinating internal and external communications; and managing special projects (such as the annual report). Essential Qualifications
Priority will be placed on candidates who meet the essential requirements of the position and have experience in the disability field. Experience in the following areas will be an asset:
