Qualifications
10 plus years in increasingly more responsible positions in fund-raising organizations, with experience in converting prospects (corporate, individual, foundations) into donors.  College degree required; advanced degree a plus.  Excellent analytical, organizational and sales skills.  Self starter and ability to work on a team. 

Responsibilities
Design and execution of structured programs for the identification, cultivation and solicitation of a variety of prospective donors and loyal donors, particularly the acquisition of new donors among corporations and businesses, individuals and family foundations; philanthropic foundations and other appropriate entities;

Design, implement and staff plans for focused special events that result in revenue, appreciation and awareness of Extra Mile;

Leverage social media to create visibility and donor opportunities for volunteers, alumni and others;

Represent Extra Mile and its mission to a cross-section of entities with capacity, capability of providing support, including business and civic organizations and associations;

Call on donors and prospects to inform, reinforce, update, cultivate and solicit;

Monitor and report on progress and activities regarding various campaigns and other efforts;

Design and execute volunteer recruitment strategies;

Serve as staff to various committees and other groups furthering the advancement of Extra Mile;

Interact with partners on collaborations with the goal of support benefiting Extra Mile, schools, students, etc. 

Serve as a team member in the execution of system wide initiatives, including special events, receptions and dinners, renewal and new gift campaigns.

Reporting to:  Executive Director

Working relationships with:  Director of Programs, Office Manager, representatives of the Catholic Education Secretariat of the Diocese of Pittsburgh, Data base manager
