The Out-of-School Time (OST) Director at the Sayre Community School will be responsible for managing the after school project based learning program for high school students funded by PHMC. The program will provide comprehensive academic, college access and career readiness supports to 85 students who will participate through a primary activity area. He/she will hire and supervise the other staff funded by the program including approximately 10 PT instructors and 10 Penn undergraduate workstudy tutors, and also work with the after school teachers hired by the Sayre school to work with the program. She/he will ensure that the site is in compliance with all City, PHMC, School District, and University requirements, including overseeing the collection of employee and client information, maintaining up-to-date records, databases, and other program information, etc. The OST Director will lead all program planning and implementation. A critical function of this position is the recruitment and retention of youth, and for that reason forming strong relationships with Sayre students is crucial.

QUALIFICATIONS:
A Bachelors degree is required preferably in education, social work, or a related field. Two to four years of work experience is required in a related field, in a supervisory role. A demonstrated ability to connect with urban high school youth through various programs and activities is required. Proficiency in MS Office, very good typing skills, and general computer/technology skills are required.

Salary: $38K-$42K with full Penn beneifts (including tuition)
