Staff Attorney, Citizens for Pennsylvania’s Future (PennFuture) - Pittsburgh, PA

We are seeking a staff attorney for our Pittsburgh office.

Specific duties will include:

  • Researching, developing, and handling all aspects of litigation cases before courts and administrative tribunals.
  • Researching and preparing comments on proposed agency rules, policies, guidance documents, and permits or other authorizations.
  • Preparing and submitting Freedom of Information Act and Right to Know Law requests for agency records.
  • Providing legal advice to clients.

Substantive areas will include:

  • Marcellus Shale
  • Air
  • Alternative Energy

Qualifications:
The successful applicant will have litigation experience, excellent written and oral communications skills, and knowledge of Pennsylvania and federal environmental laws. The ideal candidate has a passion for key issues of the organization, strong abilities to communicate effectively with diverse audiences, and a proven track record of success. Current Pennsylvania Bar admission is required.

Compensation and Location:
Salary and benefits package is competitive for public interest organizations and will depend on experience.  This is a full-time position.  PennFuture is an equal opportunity employer.
