Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh seeks a Director of Development for Carnegie Museum of Art. Responsible for developing and implementing, in conjunction with Carnegie Museums’ Director of Development for Art and Carnegie Museum of Art’s leadership staff, fundraising strategies and tactics to generate restricted and unrestricted support from foundations, corporations, governments, and individuals. A Bachelor’s Degree plus a minimum of 5 years of demonstrated success in non-profit fundraising is required. Must have excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills. Position requires an understanding of relationship building with donors and prospects; familiarity with non-profit budgeting processes; initiative; strong attention to detail; strategic planning skills; discretion in handling confidential information; and ability to meet deadlines. Knowledge of art or a museum background is desirable. Familiarity with Pittsburgh funding community a plus.
