Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh (CMP) seeks an Assistant Director for Foundation Relations to develop strategies for raising funds from private, public, and corporate foundations and write fundraising communications that will most effectively position the organization for contributed support that will support CMP’s annual and/or strategic fundraising priorities. Responsibilities include overall development planning, conceptualizing, and drafting of fundraising communications that include grant proposals and reports, overseeing and enhancing relationships with foundation donors, coordinating all foundation-related events, and work cooperatively as part of the overall development team.   Bachelor’s degree required and a minimum of three years of demonstrated success as a development profession preferred. Knowledge of regional & national funding communities a plus. Museum background is desirable. Must demonstrate facility to adapt writing styles for a wide variety of client interests. Requires ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects at any given time, often under the pressure of deadlines.
