FT Manager of Research & Evaluation, Arts Education Collaborative, Carnegie Museum of Art - Pittsburgh, PA

Carnegie Museum of Art’s Arts Education Collaborative seeks a manager of research and evaluation to work with external clients and manage our internal research and evaluation efforts. Craft proposals and timelines, develop research methodologies, and conduct research and evaluation. Responsible for both developing internal reports, and delivering reports to external clients. The manager will also facilitate training programs on research and evaluation for organizations, as well as attend and present at regional and national conferences. Minimum three years of experience in arts learning environments, either in- or out of school, is required. A master's degree in education or arts management is required, and a doctoral degree in curriculum and instruction, professional development, educational technology, or research/evaluation is preferred. The position requires a creative and innovative thinker with a passion for arts education, research, and evaluation. Ability to work collaboratively in a team is essential. Strong interpersonal, spoken, and written communication skills are a must. Proven skills in research and evaluation are required. Ability to travel regionally is required. Must have knowledge of arts education programs and practices, especially in PK-12 school environments and/or cultural organizations. Must be proficient using MS Office, as well as common web 2.0 tools, e.g. wikis, blogs. Must be flexible and able to work independently, as well as have the ability to use collaborative platforms--e.g. Skype, Safari Montage Live--to work synchronously and asynchronously.
