Advancement Services Manager, Central Catholic High School - Pittsburgh, PA

Central Catholic High School in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking to fill the newly created position of Advancement Services Manager. Reporting to the Vice President for Advancement, the Advancement Services Manager will be a member of the Advancement team and will work collaboratively with all members to achieve departmental and school goals.
Responsibilities
- Conduct extensive research of individual, corporate and foundation prospects for annual and capital campaign gifts; maintain plan for solicitation and spreadsheet of results for each prospect in database;
- Manage segmentation of prospects/donors and develop queries using Raiser’s Edge;
- Record all gifts in Raiser’s Edge, generate acknowledgements daily, produce reports, and perform database updates related to cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of donors;
- Create, maintain and manage tracking systems, spreadsheets, and database to support Advancement Office activities and assigned projects;
- Maintain accurate giving records for all donors: endowment; annual; restricted; capital campaign; special initiatives;
- Process deposits to Business Office;
- Produce monthly gift income reports for accuracy confirmation with Business Office
- Provide weekly (electronic) donor updates to President, Vice President, and Director of Annual Giving;
- Generate pledge reminders to donors;
- Coordinate and manage all large mailings, including appeals, newsletters, and invitations;
- Consult with and provide information to financial auditors upon request;
- Compile data and production of documents for Annual Report;
- Proof drafts for accuracy;
- Help coordinate and attend (when appropriate) all Advancement special event functions;
- Serve as back-up to Administrative Assistant, Office of Advancement, as necessary;
- Other duties as assigned.
Performance Objectives
- Work collaboratively with the Advancement team (Advancement, Admissions and Alumni Relations) to build an integrated approach to donor identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship;
- Expand the donor database in Raiser’s Edge to ensure that it contains all alumni, parents, corporate and foundation prospects, as well as other key stakeholders as identified by the Advancement team;
- Establish a range of reports and other tools (spreadsheets, graphs, charts, check lists) necessary to track donor identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship;
- Achieve 100% accuracy on all donor giving reports;
- Achieve on-time delivery of all reports and projects.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university;
- Four to five years of experience in Advancement and an understanding of advancement operations, strategies and techniques;
- Three to four years of experience with Raiser’s Edge and expertise with all facets of this database management program;
- Technical expertise, particularly with computers and information systems management, and an understanding of how technology increases efficiency and effectiveness;
- Experienced working as part of a team: recognizes a personal role and individual responsibility in the team’s overall success;
- A strong work-ethic: a commitment to task and willingness to “do what it takes” to get the job done and contribute to department and school-wide goals and objectives; maintains a sense of pride and high level of quality with all projects; the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and flexibility to adapt to changing requirements and deadlines;
- A confident and professional demeanor;
- Effective oral, written and presentation skills;
- Excellent interpersonal skills: interact positively with all team members, alumni, parents, and other stakeholders.
