Advocates for Basic Legal Equality, Inc. (ABLE), a non-profit law firm that provides high quality legal assistance to eligible low-income residents of western Ohio, seeks a Stewardship and Support Coordinator. The position is based in Toledo and has responsibility for gift stewardship and development team support throughout the 32 counties of western Ohio for ABLE and ABLE’s partner, Legal Aid of Western Ohio, Inc. (LAWO).
The Stewardship and Support Coordinator works in partnership with the full ABLE and LAWO development team, across all regions, to support strategic fund development and stewardship efforts aimed at increasing organization revenue and donor support for programs and services. This is accomplished through leadership in the following key areas: exemplary database management, strict adherence to donor recognition policies and procedures, enthusiastic and diplomatic donor relations, key assistance in annual fund and events logistics for team, preparation of correspondence, and effective financial reporting and compliance.
The Stewardship and Support Coordinator must demonstrate excellent customer service and data management/data entry skills. The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail, be highly organized, and possess the ability to honor confidential information. He or she must possess a high level of initiative, sound judgment, and have engaging interpersonal skills. The Coordinator must have experience working effectively in a collaborative team environment in which decision making is shared.
An associate or bachelor degree is preferred but not required. Prior customer service and database management or database-entry experience is required. Computer proficiency required along with excellent word processing and spreadsheet skills. Work with a fundraising database is preferred. Work within a non-profit or fundraising environment is also preferred. A competitive salary is available, depending on qualifications, including an excellent benefits package.
